Research assistant that finds papers for a question and pulls their findings into a table you can sort and check.
Elicit is a research assistant for literature reviews. You ask a research question in plain language and it searches a large database of academic papers, returns the most relevant ones and summarizes what they found.
Its table view sets it apart. Each paper becomes a row, and you can add columns for things like sample size, intervention, outcome or limitations, which Elicit fills in by reading the papers. Every extracted value links back to the passage it came from, so you can check it against the source.
It is useful for scoping a topic or speeding up the screening stage of a systematic review. It doesn't replace reading the papers you rely on: check extracted values against the text, look at study quality, and watch for papers outside its database that a full search would catch.
